Protocol Education work across London/ Kent in placing fantastic, experienced teachers on a permanent basis every January. We are currently working alongside this exceptional secondary school who are looking to appoint a SENCO on a permanent basis.

***Permanent role starting January 2021 (or earlier) - MPS/UPS plus TLR 1b
***Ideal candidate would hold National SENCO qualification
***Dedicated SEN staff including specialist teachers, LSA's and external support
***Suitable for Secondary trained SENCo's

Situated in the lively borough of Kent, this high-achieving Secondary The heschool believes in developing well-rounded pupils who can make a difference in society. Facilities are excellent at this school where there are large classroom spaces, modern sports hall and a swimming pool. The school was recently praised in the 2019 "Good" Ofsted of the provisions in place for SEND students including wider curriculum opportunities and additional teaching sessions to address misconceptions. Behaviour is excellent across the school due to the high standards held by staff and senior leadership. Results in previous years have been strong where pupil progress scores sit well above average nationally.

About the Role:
For this role, you require Qualified Teacher Status and rights to work in the UK.
This is an important role an at the school which will have a major impact on the schools SEN provision. An experienced, qualified teacher with a real passion and understanding of SEN is essential.
Ideally having experience in a variety of SEN settings (although not essential if strong mainstream SEN experience) this role will see you work with several SEN specialists. The ability to lead by example, model good SEN teaching and can provide practical ideas for class teachers to support SEN students is essential.
The school is committed to providing ongoing professional development and although the ideal candidate would already hold the National SENCo qualification the school will support someone who needs to obtain this.
