Protocol Education are looking to register SEND LSA's for immediate work leading to potential long term work at a Special School in Leeds.

The school supports children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, and then years Years 3-6 who all have an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) because of a medical condition, disability and/or early social communication and interaction difficulties.

The School provides a range of learning experiences in a caring and secure atmosphere, where both effort and achievement are encouraged and praised. The curriculum is tailored to the individual child, incorporating their EHCP outcomes and looking at ways in which they can support the development of the whole child.

Every aspect of the day is a learning opportunity and these are utilised fully.

We are looking for applicants with a history of SEN support roles and thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures. Experience of working with children with autism and medical needs is essential, as is working with children who are non-verbal or experience communication barriers.

The school day starts at 08:45 and finishes at 15:30.

We require all applicant to hold an enhanced DBS for childcare, maintained on the update service, and to provide good professional or academic references covering the last 5 years.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
