Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant - Harrow


Protocol Education is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant on a contract basis starting in September for a Good' Primary School in North West London.


About the school and contract

• 2 form Primary School.
• Full time role during school term time only.
• A rare opportunity to join a school in a new academic year and with the opportunity to become part of the permanent team at the end of the academic year.

About the successful SEN Teaching Assistant

• Ideally a graduate looking to gain experience in a school whilst applying for the PGCE / Teacher Training.
• Or someone wanting to progress from a Teaching Assistant to further develop their career.
• Oversee classes covering a variety of subjects and managing the behaviour of the students in accordance with the school's policy.
• Strong classroom management skills are a must as you will be solely leading the class.
• Previous classroom experience is an advantage though inessential as full training provided.

To be eligible the SEN Teaching Assistant must

• Have experience of working with young people.
• Be a UK resident or be eligible to work in the UK.
• Be driven and tenacious.
