Job description
Protocol Education has multiple vacancies for Learning Support Assistants at a Special Education Needs Primary School in the London Borough of Ealing.

The school, rated Outstanding' in their most recent Ofsted inspection (April 2016), provides education for children with moderate to severe learning difficulties including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Global Developmental Delay, physical disabilities and Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). There are classes of approximately 5-8 children each throughout Reception Year 6, as well as a small pre-school Nursery.

Facilities at the school are excellent and include sensory rooms, heated hydrotherapy pool, gymnasium, multiple outdoor play areas and hoist equipment throughout the building.

The school is in need of proactive, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants equipped to assist the children in their learning and their social and emotional development. The school provides excellent training and support and, as an employee of Protocol Education, you will have frequent opportunities to attend workshops, seminars and training courses specifically focussed on various areas of Special Education Needs.

Many of the roles require candidates to assist with personal care so you should be comfortable assisting the children with changing, feeding and toileting. Previous experience and training in Moving and Handling would be a distinct advantage.

The school is within walking distance of Central Line and Piccadilly Line stations, and is well serviced by local bus routes. There is car parking available on the premises for staff.

If you have experience working with children or young adults with special education needs, and are interested in making a positive contribution to the lives of young people, please send your CV or call Simon on 020 3219 7740.
