We are working in partnership with a forward-thinking, specialist SEND school in Cambridge to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and highly skilled team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a purpose-built setting, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs and playing a key role in their development, independence and confidence.

About the Role:

  • Supporting pupils aged 3–19 with a range of needs including ASD, SEMH, communication needs and complex learning difficulties
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support, tailored to individual EHCPs
  • Assisting with sensory regulation, behaviour support and structured learning activities
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists and SENCOs to deliver a holistic approach to learning
  • Creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where pupils can thrive

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care or support setting)
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Someone who is genuinely passionate about supporting children with additional needs
  • Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
