SEN Teaching Assistant – Wandsworth

Protocol Education is seeking a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in Wandsworth.

You will support pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). The role requires patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with additional needs

  • Assist teachers with planning and delivering lessons

  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development

  • Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

  • Monitor and record pupil progress

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (in school or similar environment)

  • Patient, proactive, and empathetic approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
