Job description
Offering both full and part-time (3 days per week)

We are currently seeking an experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant with an interest in working with SEN pupils at Endeavour Academy Bexley. Endeavour Academy Bexley is a specialist school for SEN pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The school has recently had a very successful Ofsted Inspection and been recognised as an Outstanding establishment. Therefore, we are looking to appoint a new colleague with high expectations and willingness to work flexibly within a team to ensure that Endeavour Academy continues to offer a high quality learning environment to our pupils. A background in classroom support and evidence of the ability to manage challenging behaviour are essential alongside high expectations and strong personal and professional boundaries. If you have enthusiasm, commitment and a desire to work with some of the most vulnerable and challenging young people in our community, we would welcome your application.

High aspirations and a relentless approach towards excellence are the key skills we are seeking. Our expectations of learning and behaviour are extremely high and we would therefore welcome colleagues who would embrace and adopt aspirational goals for our pupils.

A background in special education is not required.

If you can commit to this position you will be given the opportunity to access the CPD programme at the school giving you valuable experience and recognised qualifications.

If this role is of interest to you, please feel free to contact John at Protocol Education on 0208 461 8900 for further information. Alternatively, please send an updated CV to louise.waite@protocol-education.com

We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00
