Job description
We are currently working together with an Outstanding' Catholic Primary School near South Ruislip to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child with Autism in their Nursery Class.

This role is offered on a part-time basis as the Nursery operates from 8:30am-12:00 noon Monday to Friday so these will be your hours of work.

The school benefit from happy, motivated, well behaved children and a spacious, well-resourced learning environment.
You will be working on a one to one basis with a child recently diognosed with ASD to support learning through a range of interventions and play as well as undertake the general care of the child throughout the morning while at Nursery. You will of course be working as part of a team including the Nursery Teacher and other members of support staff in a supportive and warm environment.

This is an incredibly rewarding role as you will get to be a part of a childs journey building a relationship that could continue potentially develop throughout their time at Primary school. It is therefore essential for the role that you have a love and desire to work with young children as the child is of pre-school age however it is not essential that you have worked in a nursery before.
What is required for the role is someone who has a passion and proven experience of working with children on the Autistic Spectrum, who is able to adapt to the EYFS curriculum and have the knowledge and approach to be able to support a child with ASD to access this learning.

In order to be eligible for this role you will need to be available full time and you will have a DBS registered to the online update service or be willing to pay for a new DBS with us.
