Primary Teaching Assistant Down Syndrome

Protocol Education are currently looking to recruit Teaching Assistants in and around the Westminster area for the rest of the academic year. We are looking for people that have experience with working with children with special needs, especially Down Syndrome. To either work one on one or in groups to help aid the development and learning of these children. A successful candidate will:
•Have an NVQ Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
•Experience with working with children or young people with SEND and specifically Down Syndrome.
•Be committed and passionate about working with children with SEND.
•Willing to take CPD courses or training sessions to stay up to date with current practices to ensure the safety of children.
Key Responsibilities:
•Working in groups or one to one with children with Down Syndrome in a comfortable setting to create a relationship to better help the children.
•Reviewing the children's progress in order to put in place plans to keep the child up to date and ensure the development of the child.
•Helping to ensure the children you are working with are in an environment that they feel is safe and allows them to express themselves in a way that improves their confidence and social skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
