Job Duties:

  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in Maths and English
  • Relevant experience working with children or individuals with SEN
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions

Education:

Education to GCSE level or equivalent

Experience:

Prior experience working with individuals with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN support strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Patience and empathy towards students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom setting within a school environment. The working hours are full-time during school term times. The role may require occasional extra hours for specific activities or events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
