SEN Primary School Teaching Assistant Autism
Protocol Education are looking to recruit Primary school Teaching Assistants in the West London area that specialize in SEN and especially working with children with Autism. You will be working with some amazing schools in the area which have really great facilities and expert teams around you. You will also be able to gain a lot of high quality experience that will help you to develop your career and take you to the next level. A successful candidate will:
•Have an NVQ Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
•Experience with working with children or young people with SEND and specifically Autism
•Be PECS or Makaton trained, not necessary but preferred. Training can be given if you aren't already proficient.
•Be committed and passionate about working with children with SEND.
Key Responsibilities:
•Helping to contribute to the teaching plan in order to ensure that all pupils are being given the best possible experience when learning the UK curriculum.
•Monitoring each individual students progression and setting out a clear plan to effectively bring them up to speed if necessary.
•Supporting the needs of Autistic children by understanding each child's specific needs and ensuring they are learning in a way that they are comfortable. For example using sensory rooms.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
