We are looking to hire a SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team to help support students in KS1-KS4. The ideal candidate will have experience with SEN, but this does not necessarily have to be within education if you have transferable skills.
We are looking for an individual to help support students to access their education and break down any barriers they may encounter. We are looking for someone who is motivated and willing to ensure that students have all the assistance they need to reach their goals.
The school is based within the Middlesbrough area and focuses on fulfilling their student’s goals by creating an environment that is enriching and positive.
The ideal candidate needs to be adaptable and have availability to ensure that there is continuity for the students they are supporting. The times will be Monday-Friday 08.30-16.00, this role is temporary at first but may become permanent for the right person.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Passionate about their role and supporting students to access education
- Be experienced with SEN or have transferable skills
- Able to communicate well
- Be able build professional relationships with the students
- Willing to learn and continue their professional development
- Be able to demonstrate empathy
- Be able to work within a team and help support either 1:1 or small groups of students
This role is ideal for someone from backgrounds of education and/or care. The role may also be suitable for someone who has personal experience within the field of SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
