SEN Teaching assistants can make the difference for students they support.

We are looking for a SEN teacher to help within a school based in Middlesbrough with students from the ages 3-19. The school supports students with SEN and PLMD needs and are looking for an enthusiastic member of staff with experience within this field. The school is passionate about breaking down barriers for their students to access education and achieve their best.  

This role will be temporary at first but may be ongoing for the right person. Times 08.30-16.00 Monday-Friday.

The ideal individual will be adaptable, proactive, resilient and willing to do their best.

The successful applicant should have:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualifications or relevant qualifications and experience
  • Experience with PLMD and SEN needs
  • Can work 1:1 and within small groups
  • Experience with PECS would be an advantage
  • Confident with working with students with SEN and PLMD needs
  • Be able to communicate effectively

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
