Primary SEN TA

Protocol Education are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants with a background in supporting children with SENeeds to work in our primary schoold across Wakefield and South Leeds. If you are calm natured and patient we would love to hear from you. We have a number of part-time and full-time roles available.

What are the main duties of this role?

  • To be responsible for providing bespoke support for individuals who have been identified as SEND
  • Working under the direction of the class teacher, SENCo and provide support in addressing the needs of pupils to overcome barriers to leaning
  • To develop and promote effective working relationships with families, members of staff and external agencies
  • Comply with policies and procedures relating to child protections
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school.

What do you need to apply?

  • To be eligible to work in the UK
  • To be able to provide 2 references from previous employment
  • To hold or be willing to apply for an enhance DBS through Protocol Education
  • Experience working with children with SEN
