We're looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join welcoming schools across Bristol . Whether you've worked in SEND before or you're keen to start your journey supporting children with additional needs, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils feel confident, included and ready to learn. Your day could include:

  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
  • Helping children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD and speech and language needs
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour
  • Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and therapists to support individual learning plans
  • Creating a calm, safe and positive learning environment

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people, experience supporting children with SEND is desirable, but not essential
  • Is patient, compassionate and resilient
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Is eager to learn and develop new skills
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children to succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
