SEN Teaching Assistant – Bristol | Full-Time | Immediate & September Starts

Protocol Education is currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join welcoming schools and specialist provisions across Bristol.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs.
  • Supporting children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and complex learning difficulties.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Implementing behaviour support strategies and personalised learning plans.
  • Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have at least 6 months' experience working with children or young people in an SEN, education, childcare, or support setting.
  • Have experience supporting pupils with SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or complex needs.
  • Have excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Are patient, resilient, caring, and adaptable.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
