We're looking for caring, resilient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of primary, secondary and specialist SEND settings throughout South London.
Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, a recent graduate looking to gain school-based experience, or someone with a background in care, youth work or support work, we'd love to hear from you.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping children access education, build confidence and achieve their potential.
Responsibilities may include:
• Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
• Supporting small group interventions
• Assisting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language Needs and SEMH needs
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Supporting pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
• Helping to create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
• A patient, positive and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
• Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations
• Previous school-based experience is beneficial but not essential
• Calm, nurturing and proactive approach
• Ability to build positive relationships quickly
• Flexible and adaptable across different settings
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusion
• Committed to helping pupils thrive both academically and socially

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
