SEN Teaching Assistant

We’re looking for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a welcoming specialist school in Gateshead.

You’ll work with children and young people who need extra support with learning, behaviour, communication, and emotional regulation.

What the role looks like:

• Tailored 1:1 support linked to EHCP targets
• Helping pupils build confidence and routines
• Supporting learning inside and outside the classroom
• Working closely with an experienced SEN team

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience in SEN, care, or youth support
• Is patient, adaptable, and reliable
• Builds positive relationships easily
• Wants to grow within specialist education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
