A well-regarded Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ school in Shrewsbury is looking to recruit a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will support students with Special Educational Needs by communicating in a clear, encouraging, and motivating way. Building strong, trusting relationships will be key to helping pupils grow in confidence and reach their full potential.

This position is ideal for experienced Teaching Assistants, recent graduates, or aspiring teachers seeking valuable classroom experience ahead of teacher training.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children with additional needs, or a strong interest in doing so
  • Can follow EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) and personalised learning strategies
  • Is genuinely passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs
  • Can create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, and understanding
  • Is proactive, flexible, and able to adapt to changing situations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
