SEN Teaching Assistant

An Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ school in Walsall is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, positive, and approachable, with a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.

The school is looking for an individual who is encouraging, non-judgmental, and adaptable, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting learners and helping them to thrive both academically and personally.

This role is particularly well-suited to experienced Teaching Assistants, graduates, or aspiring teachers looking to gain valuable experience before progressing into teacher training.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children with additional needs, or a strong desire to do so
• Can follow EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) and tailor support to meet individual learning needs
• Has a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students with SEN
• Can create a nurturing, inclusive environment that supports every child’s development
• Demonstrates patience, empathy, and understanding of diverse learning needs
• Is proactive, flexible, and able to adapt to different situations and challenges

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
