We’re working with a welcoming primary school in LS28 looking for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to support a lovely pupil with autism on a 1:1 basis. This role is all about building trust, creating routine, and helping one child feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.
If you’ve got patience, empathy, and a knack for turning tricky moments into small wins, you’ll fit right in.
Providing consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with autism
Using visual timetables and structured routines
Supporting emotional regulation and sensory needs
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
Celebrating progress, even the tiny steps forward
Experience supporting children with autism
A calm, positive approach
Confidence managing behaviours with kindness and structure
A genuine passion for SEND support
