SEN Teaching Assistant

My client is a fantastic secondary school based in Lambeth, South London that require several SEN Teaching Assistants for both full time roles and daily supply. This will require the ideal candidate to be committed and flexible to working 5 days. This is a brilliant opportunity for more exposure working within classroom environments. My client offers a great support network and the scope for progression and development.

The role is as rewarding as it is challenging. The successful candidate will be working across KS3 and KS4 and you will be supporting children with a variety of needs such as support severe/moderate complex needs, ASD, ADHD or Learning Difficulties. Empathy, enthusiasm, a positive outlook and a commitment to encouraging SEN children to achieve their full potential, are essential to thrive in this role.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant should:

•Have experience working with SEN students
•Have training or experience in Makaton, PECS, or be Team Teach trained
•Be flexible and patient, as the Special Needs will vary
•Be able to communicate effectively within a team
•Be committed to work full-time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
