Teaching Assistants (Level 2/3 or equivalent preferred) with excellent behaviour management required for long term positions available in mainstream primary schools based in Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas. Positions are full time, term time only and can run from half a term up to the rest of the academic year.

The post will require support of children, aged 4-11 years (predominately on a one to one basis) within the class. You will need to be flexible, have enthusiasm, motivation, good communication skills and the ability to work with small groups on specific programmes if required. Experience in working with children with special needs would be an advantage as would previous training in Behavior Management including Team Teach

As a Behaviour Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant, you will:
-Build and maintain successful relationships with learners
-Support a named pupil or a group of students in traditional and non-traditional learning environments.
-Deliver activities aimed at engaging pupils in learning / improving behaviour
-Challenge and motivate pupils, promote and reinforce self-esteem.
-Implement behaviour management strategies
-Work with young people at risk of exclusion / excluded from mainstream education
-Offer a supportive approach in a role-modelling/mentoring capacity
-To record observations on young people's behaviour and progress
