Job description
SEN Teacher

An outstanding' special school is seeking a fully qualified and experienced secondary trained SEN teacher for a position starting in September 2017.

•Hounslow
•Full time role
•Salary dependent on experience


The successful SEN Teacher will be taking on full time teaching responsibilities and will have the support of multiple class based teaching assistants. You will be teaching KS3 and KS4 pupils with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health difficulties).


In this SEN teacher role you will be required to have experience of teaching KS3 or KS4 pupils. The students are working on working on a range of levels and some will be working towards their GCSEs. There are around 7-9 students in the classroom and you will be supported by 2 additional TAs that will support you in all aspects of the school day as well as keeping the students engaged throughout the lessons.
As a SEN Teacher you must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, strong behaviour and classroom management and preferably have experience teaching in SEN.
