Job description
SEN Teacher
Protocol Education - Nottinghamshire
A fantastic opportunity for an SEN Teacher is due to be arising in a GOOD special school we work closely alongside in the Nottinghamshire area. The school has specialist staff and children whose special educational needs include autistic spectrum disorders, complex learning difficulties, language and communication disorders and associated challenging behaviour.
The chosen candidate will be an SEN Teacher with an ability to teach ASD and MLD pupils who vary in ability and age. This role requires a resourceful, enthusiastic and self-motivated class teacher, with a passion and enthusiasm for working with SEN children is essential. A strong team leader who is positive and resilient, an excellent classroom practitioner and able to establish good working relationships with colleagues, parents and outside agencies. Responsibilities include working with students to enable their independence. It is your duty to inspire and deliver a vibrant and fulfilling learning experience to maximise potential of every student. Creating a positive and stimulating learning environment that caters for the needs of all students. Celebrating successes when possible to create an excellent community feel.
The ideal candidate will be suitably qualified to teach with experience or enthusiasm of work with special needs students. A good working knowledge of Communication and Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Full time to start September 2017
