This is an opportunity to work within a supportive environment where teaching is personalised, purposeful and focused on the whole child.

  • Assessing and recording pupil progress.
  • Working towards EHCP outcomes.
  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants.
  • Communicating with parents and carers.
  • Working with the SENCO and wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school.

The Ideal SEN Teacher

We're looking for someone who is:

Passionate – You genuinely care about helping pupils achieve.

Adaptable – You understand that one approach won't work for every learner.

Resilient – You can remain calm and positive when faced with challenges.

Creative – You can find different ways to engage pupils in their learning.

Relationship-focused – You understand the importance of trust and consistency.

Ambitious – You have high expectations for pupils while recognising their individual starting points.

Experience

Applications are welcomed from teachers with experience in:

  • Special schools.
  • Mainstream SEND provisions.
  • SEMH settings.
  • Autism provisions.
  • Alternative provision.
  • PRUs.
  • Complex needs settings.
  • Behaviour support environments.

QTS or an appropriate teaching qualification is required for the teaching role.

Why Protocol Education?

  • Competitive salary/pay.
  • Weekly PAYE payments.
  • FREE CPD and online training.
  • SEND-specific professional development.
  • Dedicated education consultant.
  • Ongoing support.
  • Long-term and permanent opportunities.
  • £50 Refer a Friend bonus.
