SEN Teacher

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and experienced SEN Teacher to join supportive and inclusive schools across Doncaster. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs.
  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans, including Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where required.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment that promotes independence, confidence, and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists, parents, and external agencies to provide the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour management, and wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and differentiated learning.
  • Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, flexible, and compassionate approach to supporting learners.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
