SEN Teacher Ealing 

An Ofsted rated 'Good' school in Ealing are searching for a SEN Teacher to join their growing team of Educators. This position is part-time, in a Year 2 classroom. The school's main aim is to ensure that all of their students are confident individuals who enjoy success and happiness by embracing challenge, perseverance and hard work. The school have high expectations of good teaching, learning, bahaviour and attitudes to work and learning. Previous experience working with SEN children is essential, with good knowledge and understanding of how to meet the needs of SEN pupils with Speech, language and communication needs. 

Resposibilities:

• Must be able to plan & teach lessons for SEN students
• You will be supporting children with a range of Special Needs
• Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
• Creating a safe environment that allows the children to have fun, learn and succeed
• Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
• Assisting the teacher

Roles and qualities 

  • Building relationships with parents including organising parent, teacher meetings
  • Supervising extra-curricular activities 
  • Planning, preparing and presenting lessons designed to meet the individual needs of each student
  • Have a calm and consistent appraoch to teaching
  • Be professional and passionate about working with young children
  • Have good organisational skills 
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team 
  • Have patience and be realiable
