Job description
Would you like to work in a state of the art primary school to pursue your career working with pupils who have special needs?

The school I am working with are looking for teaching assistants to start in September 2019.

The school is an outstanding (Ofsted) maintained special school for pupils from 5-11 with PMLD/SLD/MLD and autism. It benefits from excellent staffing ratios, small class sizes and a highly personalised approach to learning.

This position has arisen due to increased headcount on the school roll and the opening of an additional class to support this group.

The ideal candidate would have a proven record of supporting SEN students and have a basic understanding of PECS and Makaton.

Teaching Assistants with special school or mainstream experience are welcome to apply, graduates also looking to gain experience in a special needs classroom are encouraged to apply.

This school is easily accessible with free parking.

Apply now with an up-to-date CV and all successful candidates will be contacted to progress their application.

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
