Protocol Education would like to offer suitably qualified candidates the opportunity to join a team of Teaching Assistants who support children of an age range 3-19 with a range of learning needs.Candidates with previous relevant experience and knowledge of learning disabilities would have an advantage. We welcome people who are willing to learn, adapt to ever changing circumstances and a genuine interest in the needs of children.
You would need to be prepared to work with children of all ages and disabilities. Applicants must have National Test in Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 or equivalent. The purpose of the role is to provide basic learning support for pupils identified as having severe learning difficulties including complex or multiple special education needs in a range of learning situations and settings. This will enable pupils to access an appropriate curriculum, enrich and enhance the learning experience and contribute to personal, social physical and emotional development under the close direction of a teacher or senior learning support staff.

The role is full time and to start as soon as possible. The post would be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure, 2 references and medical checks and a 6-month satisfactory probation period.We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect the same commitment from all staff and volunteers.
