Protocol Education are working with a school in Guiseley to support their students with ASC (autism spectrum condition), aged 2 to 19. Communication is difficult for these students, as they have a hard time engaging and get anxious easily. For this role, you need to be able to build rapport with the students and have a passion working with students with additional needs. This school ensures that the needs of each student are met while nurturing and supporting them in reaching their full potential. The curriculum is designed to excite the students as well challenge them. The curriculum is also created to instill skills for them to be successful members of society and continue throughout their adulthood. This school has recently been taken over by a new academy with big plans ahead.

Requirements:
•Experience working with students with additional needs
•Able to build rapport with students
•Passionate about working with students with additional needs
•Excellent communication and behaviour managements skills
•Able to support the students in their personal and educational development
•Ensure safe and comfortable environment for the students to learn

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
