SEN Support Jobs Special Needs

In some schools, you’re an extra pair of hands. In this one, you’re a key part of a child’s journey.

We’re working with a vibrant primary school in Bristol that places a huge emphasis on relationships, wellbeing, and creating a safe space for every pupil to thrive.

They’re looking for an experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child who needs consistency, patience, and someone firmly in their corner.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting a pupil 1:1 throughout the school day

  • Helping them feel safe, settled, and ready to learn

  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and behaviour

  • Working closely with a supportive and experienced team

This is a school where:

  • Staff genuinely support each other

  • Pupils are encouraged to be confident and independent

  • Diversity and individuality are celebrated

  • The environment is calm, structured, and nurturing

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Have experience with SEND support

  • Are patient, empathetic, and resilient

  • Stay calm under pressure

  • Build trust quickly with children

If you’ve ever had that moment where a child finally engages because of you, this role will give you more of that.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
