Job description
Protocol Education are looking for SEN support assistants that are interested in working with children with additional support needs in mainstream Primary schools. This includes Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD) and Down Syndrome.

The role will require the successful candidate to be patient, empathetic, resilient and have a passion for working in the Education sector, particularly with students with learning difficulties.

As a SENTA, successful candidates will need the following skills and qualifications:

·Confident in supporting pupils needs
·Excellent communication skills, the ability to use initiative and works well under pressure.
·Experience/knowledge of special needs conditions including Autism, Downs Syndrome and Speech/Language difficulties.
- Extra qualifications with Team Teach, Makaton or other SEND areas would be desirable
