Job description

Protocol Education are looking for SENTA's that are interested in working with and are highly experienced working with children with special needs such as physical disabilities (PMLD), autism (ASD) and speech and language difficulties.

The role will require the successful candidate to be patient, empathetic, resilient and have a passion for working in the Education sector, particularly with special needs children.

As a SENTA, successful candidates will need the following skills and qualifications:

·Confident in differentiating work in accordance to the pupils needs.
·Excellent communication skills, the ability to use initiative and works well under pressure.
·Experience/knowledge of special needs conditions including Autism, Downs Syndrome and Speech/Language difficulties.
·Trained in TEACCH, Team Teach/MAPA is desirable
·PECs and Makaton trained is desirable
·Must apply for disclosure barred service or currently registered to the updated service.
