Job description
Behaviour Support Assistant
Harrow - North West London

Working alongside the main teacher, you will effectively be the backbone to helping students overcome their barriers to academic and social progression. You will be adaptable, engaging and continuously promote positive behaviour management strategies. You will never have the same day in this role.

Job responsibilities:

* Provide support for class teacher and students within the class, and around the setting
* Helping students to understand skills in Maths, English and Science
* Help students to improve their reading and writing skills
* Motivate students to participate in practical sessions
* Attend meetings to discuss feedback through out the day
* Genuine care and understanding of behaviours arising from social emotional mental health

Key Skills:

* Have experience In SEN education or youth worker roles
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Motivated to helping students progress
* Resilient and understanding, with a good sense of humour
