SEN Teaching Assistant – Sutton

Location: Sutton
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time / Long-term

Protocol Education is looking for a patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our supportive partner schools in Sutton.

This role involves working with pupils who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). You will support pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor and record pupil progress

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (in school or similar environment)
  • Patient, proactive, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
