Protocol Education are recruiting for SEN TA's for a popular school based in Kent rated "Good" by Ofsted. You will be working in either Year 1 or Reception on a 1:1 basis.

Ideally you have experience of working with children with complex special educational needs with a focus on autism and speech, language and communication needs.
Both roles are full time, term time only, on a long term basis and start in September.

5) Your new school
A primary school in Kent are currently seeking to employ a SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with Downs Syndrome.

Your new role
• You will work closely with the class teacher and the SENCO to create an Individual Education Plan for the pupil, focusing on key areas of development in line with the national curriculum.
• You will support the pupil with basic phonics, literacy and numeracy in line with their development goals. You will ensure that the pupil hits goals and targets on a regular basis.
• You will observe pupil progress and report all feedback to the class teacher and the SENCO on a regular basis. You will ensure the pupils integration and participation within the classroom.

What you'll need to succeed
• You must have experience supporting SEN pupils within the classroom.
• You must have excellent curriculum and safeguarding knowledge.
• You must be reliable, adaptable and flexible within your approach to work, always maintaining a positive attitude towards your work and those you work with.
