Protocol Education are recruiting for a science teacher to work in our SEND school in Hillingdon. This is a role ideal for candidates who have had previous experience and want to advance in their careers or want a slight change in direction and want a challenge. You must have a QTS (or equivalent) for this role. Many of our school's support pupils with ASD and MLD and other additional needs therefore knowledge of ASD and PMLD is essential. Previous experience working with additional needs is desirable but not essential.

You will be working with secondary school children with assistance from a TA in the class. If you have a passion for making a difference, this may the ideal role for you!

Your day to day duties will include:
-Help SEN pupils to achieve their full potential and build their confidence.
-Provide knowledge and skills specifically in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
-Using widget symbols and sign language to communicate and teach students daily.
-Liaising with parents and carers regularly.
-Working in a classroom environment alongside a TA as well as on a 1:1 basis.

The ideal candidate must:
-Be confident to support young people between ages 11-19 in developing their skills.
-Have QTS or equivalent.
-Experience in teaching children with behaviour or complex learning difficulties.
-Be able to provide a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
-Be able to provide 2 references from most recent employers.
