Job description
SENCO REQUIRED

I am working with a school based in Luton who are looking for a SENCO.

The school are extremely well-resourced, values-based school who keep children at the centre of everything they do. There unique Immersive Learning Centre enables teachers to take their pupils anywhere in the world, and beyond!

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and innovative individual to lead provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities throughout the school from September 2016.

You will:

• receive dedicated time to carry out your role as SENCo

• receive dedicated administrative support

• receive an excellent training package consisting of both internal and external support

• receive funded training towards gaining the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo)

• receive a laptop and tablet computer to support you in your role

This will be a class-based role and applications from teachers with experience in teaching early years or key stage one children are warmly welcomed. The school will consider part time working options.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
