Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN teacher?

Are you a Primary or SEN Teacher, qualified or unqualified, with experience of PMLD, P-scales/Engagement model?

The successful SEN Teacher will have experience of teaching pupils with special educational needs, particularly with Complex Needs and Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).

  • SEN Teacher for specialist SEND schools in Sutton
  • Experience teaching SEND pupils with Complex Needs and Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
  • Individuals who are committed to making a significant and positive impact on the lives of their students and who are driven to further improving standards across schools impacting the success of the students.
  • Teaching and providing interactive and multi-sensory lessons as well as working closely with the multidisciplinary team and other staff
  • Experience of working in a special educational needs school is not essential. We have excellent opportunities for Teachers to extend their continuous professional development and develop skills in special education.

What you can expect from this SEN Teacher role:

  • To work collaboratively with all departments to deliver innovative curriculum designed to motivate and stretch students to achieve their best possible learning outcomes.
  • To teach in a specialist setting using a nurturing, holistic and child centred approach.
  • Pupils require a high level of adult support, they are likely to need high levels of sensory stimulation.
  • Students working at P-Scales 2-4.
  • Students will have a broad and balanced curriculum suited to their individual needs and how they learn.
  • To teach in brand new, purpose built SEND school with huge outdoor learning and therapeutic space.
  • 3 specialist TAs within your class of 3 secondary aged PMLD students

SEN Teacher Requirements

  • Experience is key for this role so SEN teachers with relevant experience, without QTS, please apply!
  • The passion to teach pupils with Complex Needs and Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
