Job description
SEN Maths Secondary Teacher

Full time SEN Maths Secondary Teacher required ASAP.

Protocol Education are looking for a passionate SEN Maths Secondary Teacher to work in an SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school. The school admits up to 80 male pupils between the ages of 9 to 16. The school offers a highly effective and individual package of education, care and pastoral support to young people who may have only negative experiences of school. They provide a safe, caring environment supported by high levels of staffing ensures that each pupil has the opportunity to make progress and achieve their full potential.

Upon being successful within the role, the applicant may also be required to teach some Science based lessons also. The school is a low level attainment school and any successful applicant would only need a basic knowledge of Science.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

• Strong behaviour management
• Maths or Science background.
• Resilience
• Relationship building
• Willingness to learn
• Good understanding of special education needs and students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
