Job description
Day to Day Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant (SENTA)- Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

Are you passionate about the inclusion of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
Are you a positive, self-motivated, well-organised person with a 'can-do' attitude?

Protocol Education is looking for Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistants to work in a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities school on a day to day basis. SEN LSAs need to provide a high level of support to children with a range of learning difficulties including Autism (ASD), complex needs and PMLD.

The school has a family orientated atmosphere and firmly believes in providing the best care to each and every child. After your initial induction you will have the opportunity to work in sensory rooms, use manual handling equipment and support children in a specialised swimming unit.

It is preferred to have experience of working with young children with SEND BUT it is not essential if you have excellent inter-personal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work on your own initiative and be an effective team player. This is a dynamic and exciting post within a well-respected and high-profile team.

Successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory references, as well as possessing an up to date DBS or be willing to apply for one through Protocol Education.

If this role is of interest to you, or if you are considering another challenge in a SEND school, please contact Katie @ Protocol Education on 0191 2797270 or katie.edmundson @protocol-education.com. During term time the office is open between 7am and 6.30pm and school holidays 9am - 4pm
