Education can play an important role in a student’s life and in some ways may impact their health, such a social, emotional mental health aspects.
We are seeking a passionate and driven SEN learning support assistant to help with a school in the Darlington area. This school is committed to ensuring that their pupils receive the very best standards of support to enrich their time within education.
The ideal individual will have experience with SEN with a focus on ASC to support students aged 2-19 through KS1- KS4. Monday-Friday 08.30-16.00, the vacancy is initially temporary but may become permanent for the right person.
Experience of education and care is advantageous but not essential. Professional qualifications such as teaching assistant qualifications would be an advantage but if there are relevant transferable skills present the individual may be perfect for the role. You should be able to demonstrate your understanding of SEN and ASC whilst being open to learning new skills and techniques to further your knowledge in your role.
The ideal candidate should be adaptable and have availability to ensure as best as possible continuity for students who they support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
