We are looking for a caring and compassionate learning support assistant to work with children aged 4 -16 with autistic spectrum disorders and moderate to severe learning difficulties.
The role will be situated within a school environment that is dedicated to ensuring that pupils can thrive in a setting where they feel calm, secure and happy. Class sizes are relatively small with up to 9 pupils with a specialist teacher with usually 4 special school support assistants. The children follow a topic-based curriculum which is modified to take account of their individual learning needs. A wide range of therapists provide extra support for pupils and expert guidance for staff. The school offers a wide range of therapy including speech and language therapy which is essential to their teaching strategy. In addition, the school works in conjunction with occupational therapists who work alongside teachers to develop, implement and monitor programmes for children including Sensory Integration programmes and sensory diets. Our school places the rights of children at the heart of their school, ensuring they nurture, inspire and transform their lives. As a learning support assistant your responsibility will be to work alongside teachers with expert knowledge and be committed to putting pupils first in everything you do.
What do I need to apply?
·Experience caring for vulnerable individuals.
·Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to complete this).
·Enthusiastic attitude towards inspiring children.

The Role:
Pay: £60-£80 a day.
Location: London Borough of Wandsworth.
Position: Learning support Assistant.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30-4pm (can be flexible for the right applicant)
