SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Ferryhill

Join a specialist PRU in Ferryhill where every pupil is given the opportunity to succeed.

We are seeking an experienced SEN HLTA to provide targeted support for pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them develop confidence, resilience and a positive attitude towards learning.

Main Duties
• Lead intervention programmes and learning activities
• Support pupils with EHCPs, SEND and SEMH needs
• Work closely with teachers and support teams
• Adapt learning approaches to meet individual needs
• Monitor pupil engagement and academic progress
• Encourage positive behaviour and personal development

Essential Skills
• HLTA qualification or substantial relevant experience
• Experience working with pupils with additional needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate and flexible approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
