Job description
SEN Classroom Support - Guildford

Interview Immediately

Protocol Education are working with a well-known and highly regarded special school in Surrey. The school caters for up to 110 pupils and Sixth Form students between the ages of 7 - 19, who have a range of academic abilities and complex needs including; Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language difficullties as well as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. The School has an in-house team of qualified therapists offering Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Sensory Integration. The range of therapeutic support available to pupils and students enables them to access the curriculum at an appropriate level, maximising each individual's potential for achievement. Additionally, there are purpose-built medical facilities where nursing cover is provided on a daily basis by qualified staff.

Protocol Education are looking for a highly motivated and skilled special needs assistant who has exeprience and a high level of knowledge of working with children or vulnerable adults with special needs. Due to the location of the school, it is preferable that the right candidate holds a full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle and is available for work immediately.

The role:

• 5 days a week, term time only
• 8:30am-3:30pm
• Based in the Borough of Waverley
• Working 1:1 with pupils who have challenging behaviour
• Working immediately until Summer 2019

You must have:

• At least 2 years of working with autism and challenging behaviour
• You must be confident with the SEN code of practice
• Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle
