Job description
Protocol are looking for experienced teaching assistants that are experienced working with autism, social emotional mental health and challenging behaviour. As part of the role, you would be required to support and help the learning and social development for students across all ages in our SEN schools in Lambeth.

Successful candidates will be required to support academic studies, develop students social and communication skills in behaviourally challenged environments.

Successful candidates will need the following skills and qualifications:
• Experience working with autism, social mental health disabilities and challenging behaviour
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to use initiative and that can work well under pressure.
• Recognising emotional behavioural triggers and indentifying successful approaches that enable academic and social progression
• Differentiating work to meet the needs of the child
• Positions are subject to an enhance disclosure barred service

Other qualifications are desirable:
• Team Teach/MAPA
• Positive handling
• Restorative justice
• First Aid trained
