Job description
An Ofsted outstanding' special education needs school in North Leicester has an immediate need for a Learning Support/Teaching Assistant to support a group of secondary aged pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs (SEMH). The school prides itself on its ability to engage with pupils in educational and therapeutic capacities to ensure that each pupil makes progress in learning and personal independence as they approach further education.

As a Learning Support Assistant within this special education school you will be supporting secondary age pupils with classroom, outdoor learning and activities. You will be employed on a long term temporary contract that could lead to a permanent role after a short period of time. The school prides themselves on their ability to develop Learning Support staff through a variety of training and mentoring initiatives. You will be working 5 days a week during normal school hours. The school is within close distance to Loughborough, Coalville, Syston, Thurmaston, Birstall and East Goscote.
