Job description
SEMH Teaching Assistant

Interviews available immediately.

Protocol Education are looking for a passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in an SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school. The school admits up to 80 male pupils between the ages of 9 to 16. The school offers a highly effective and individual package of education, care and pastoral support to young people who may have previously only had negative experiences of school. The school provides a safe and caring environment supported by high levels of staffing to ensure that each pupil has the opportunity to make progress and achieve their full potential.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

• Strong behaviour management
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle/live locally
• Resilience
• Relationship building
• Good understanding of special education needs and students with social, emotional and mental health needs.
