A Sunderland School is currently hiring for teachers to work with young people struggling with social, emotional and mental health issues.

This role is teaching extremely vulnerable young people who are unable to continue in mainstream schooling. These young people may have experienced adverse childhood experiences, toxic stress and trauma; they may be in foster care or living in children's homes all of which contributes to poor mental health and behavioural difficulties. This role is crucial in providing pastoral support and top quality teaching to young people who may not be receiving that support in their own homes.

QTS is essential, and a passion to want to make a difference to often hard to reach young people.

Your role as a Teacher will include:

• QTS qualified
• DBS on Update (or willing to obtain one)
